Temperature sensor TGA 43T50361 for Toshiba multisplit outdoor unit RAS-2M60S4AVG-ND

Original temperature sensor from Toshiba, art.nr 43T50361, mounted as TGA sensor in the outdoor unit of Toshiba Nordisk Multisplit RAS-2M60S4AVG-ND. A multisplit outdoor unit has two refrigerant circuits, one per indoor unit. The TGA sensor measures the gas pipe temperature on circuit A and is used by the control system to regulate the expansion valve (PMV) for correct superheat, distribute capacity between the indoor units and control defrosting. The TGB sensor, art.nr 43T50362, does the same for circuit B. Typical symptoms of a faulty or loose sensor: error code linked to the sensor circuit on the outdoor unit, one indoor unit providing poor or no effect while the other works normally, incorrect superheat with liquid return or excessively high discharge gas temperature, and abnormal or missing defrosting. The sensor is located in the outdoor unit's electrical box (section 13-2 Inverter Assembly, position 707). Replacement is performed by a qualified refrigeration technician.
